Mentoras and Volunteers

for Dueña de mi futuro 2023-24

Mentoras and Volunteers

Mentoras are mentors for our Dueña de mi futuro program. Mentoras are usually college students who volunteer their time facilitating topics with Dueña de mi futuro students in grades 6-12. They encourage and support youth in their college and career exploration. Mentoras volunteers from 9:00am - 12:00pm with the program. The WKU Hilltopper Organization for Latin American Students (HOLAS) has been a key partner in identifying members to serve as mentoras.

There are limited opportunities for volunteers to assist with Dueña de mi futuro, but we welcome those who are interested, to complete the below form or email us at [email protected]

Dueña de mi futuro began in the fall of 2020 with the first meetings held virtually and four youth leaders let a group of students. Over the years, youth leaders have become more like mentors, building connections with youth during the program time and sharing their knowledge of college and careers.
