My Big Sister is Succeeding (Big SiS)
A Big SiS for the My Sister is Succeeding program of For a Real Change, Inc. creates positive mentor-mentee relationships that encourage and support youth in their academic, social, and behavioral advancement. Big SiS for middle-grade students meets weekly on Wednesdays with youth during the pre-programming time and serve as role models for youth. Big SiS for high school students meet on Saturdays.
Big SiS are usually college students. We encourage students to apply who have experience serving with you and maybe pursuing an academic field such as social work, education, psychology, or health and human services. Students from any academic major can apply. All Big SiS are expected to pass a background check.
