Destiny O’Rourke is a native of Bowling Green, KY where she finished both her undergraduate work in Corporate and Organizational Communication and her graduate work in Public Administration at Western Kentucky University. She began her professional career in higher education, and continues to help students as a College and Career Coach at Bowling Green High School. She advocates for every major postsecondary option and helps her students understand how each can lead them to a high quality of life. Destiny believes that excellence in academic, social, and cultural engagement is the key to transforming family trees for generations to come. She commits enthusiastically to organizations providing those opportunities, which is why she is humbled and thankful to serve on the board of For A Real Change. Her community collaboration efforts have led to students receiving valuable first-hand college and career experiences, and she gladly helps students and families plan and execute their next steps. In order to continue her learning and ability to help students, Destiny obtained a Certified Career Services Provider credential through the National Career Development Association. 

Destiny is a wife to Patrick O’Rourke and mother to Jesse and Carmen. Outside of school and work, you can find them enjoying every bit of family time possible!
