The Living as Leaders program welcomes Danielle Brown back again this year to speak during the Harvest Festival and assist with the service-learning portion.
Danielle Brown has her bachelor’s in music education and is currently pursuing her master’s in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Non-Profit Administration from Western Kentucky University. She has always been a student of leadership and enjoyed positions throughout her career that have allowed her to strengthen her skills within the field.
Personal growth and development are so important to Danielle that this year she co-created a leadership and development program called BeComing University with her mentee, Jalisa. BeComing University is a program for middle school girls ages 11-14 that focuses on topics such as goal setting, positive self-esteem, and building healthy relationships. She also one of the visionaries behind the Bloom Enrichment Program which not only brought together several amazing women mentors in the community but also served over 80 girls from all over the country virtually in June 2020.
In addition to being a mentor, minister, motivator, and leader, Danielle is also a singer. She is a founding member of the professional vocal ensemble, Essence in Harmony and enjoys singing and educating in the community. She is also very active as a member of BLAC and the BG/WC NAACP.
Danielle volunteered with Living as Leaders in 2019 and is incredibly honored to be serving as a speaker this year.
